I went into one of my less frequented shops this morning and the owner asked if I wanted a Kimber 9mm that was not working properly.
I said (in jest), what the hell do I want with a broke-ass Kimber. He said, "it's cheap", and hands me a Kimber Micro 9.
Yep, it was "broke" alright, the trigger would not reset and it had hardly any movement. I had to use some force to get the mag out so it had to be bound-up on something.
Not wanting to take it apart there I asked how much and he said "how about $350.00".....Fair enough as it had a $200.00+ set of Crimson Trace laser grips on it and included a quality holster.
I took it home and removed the grips and found that they had been installed incorrectly and had caused a cascade of failures.
I looked them up, installed them correctly and it runs just fine now.
I ordered an extra mag.....I don't know if I'll keep the CT laser grips or not yet.
