This is exactly what is happening in the various denominations of faith, splits from this wacko garbage to forming our own Bible-based varriations, ie United Methodists moving to Global Methodist or Independent.
People like this have a need to "stand out" and be different, claiming to be Christians when nothing could be further from the truth.

The evangelical right are turning on Trump. This is just the beginning. Trump needs 80% of the evangelical vote to win the swing states. His message of "retribution" and his lack of "kindess" doesn't sit very well with them. He can't afford to lose any of them.

Harris' message of "hope and joy" are basic Christian principles. She is truly speaking their language. May devout Christians structure their lives on the JOY Principle:
