It seems pretty clear that the men involved didnt know not to speak without council present - it doesnt mean they are mentally unfit, just that they dont know the law.

And they have never watched a TV show in their lives? Were they not read their rights? I would seriously doubt that to be the case.

Mentally unfit for what? Freedom?

I saw this episode on TV a little while back and it's pretty compelling stuff.

Keep in mind for every police officer hero, there is a handful of others in that occupation who suck just as hard as any other lazy bureaucrat. Innocent people do go to jail from time to time.
