Just finished watching the film Yesterday..........

It's a fantastic comedic drama featuring actor Himesh Patel and singer/musician Ed Sheeran. It's the story of a man after being in a serious accident regains consciousness and finds he knows the melodies and lyrics to songs by The Beatles. The catch is that in this world no one knows who The Beatles are. I can't say enough good things about this film. It is definitely worth watching!

I remember the trailer for this so long ago (it seems). The funny thing was I always thought to myself "what if some band went to a disconnected country, or, even one without strong copyright laws such as China, and they just started playing the music of a once famous band and passing it off as their own, sold their music to the masses"? Unless China kicked them out, how could the original.authors of the works recoup any money? The Beatles could be reborn to a generation of people who never heard the originals. You could imagine some.band in N Korea playing a watered down version of early Beatles hits (as long as the supreme leader agreed).
