Haven't heard anything in a while and just Googled & Yahooed it - has the White House met with the family of Kate Steinle yet?
This is the young lady whose death made national news when a guy who accidentally found himself in America -- I'm assuming he made a right at Nogales instead of a left, an understandable mistake -- accidentally pulled the trigger of a gun he accidentally found while he was accidentally pointing the gun at her. It was not his fault, you understand, he was disoriented from accidentally being in the wrong country.
Anyway, I haven't found any photos or stories from that meeting. I wonder what was said.
As I recall, Kate's last words as she lay dying were, "help me, Dad".
