No matter how many on the right make claims, no matter how many in the so called middle claims that both sides are the same, evidence shsow that RepubLicans lie the moSt. I am not saying that Democrats or Indepenents don't lie, I am saying that Republicans lie more than anyne else. We see it here every day , and it i s time the lying stopped.

Top fact-checker finally reveals which party lies more: Democrats or Republicans

The creator of a top political fact-checking website has finally revealed which party lies more: Democrats or Republicans.

Bill Adair, who started the Pulitzer Prize-winning website PolitiFact, admitted that – despite his claims over the years – he was, in fact, keeping tabs and found the GOP to be the most liberal with the truth.

In 2012, Adair was asked which party lies more by a caller on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal and claimed he “didn’t keep score.”

By PolitiFact’s tally, the Republican party was actually lying “far more” than the Democrats – and since then, Adair, has found the disparity between the parties has only grown.

Between 2016 to 2021, Republicans lied 55 percent of the time, compared to Democrats 31 percent of the time, according to Adair’s company’s investigations of politicians’ statements.

“I think we need to talk about it because the fact that there are so many lies coming from the Republicans, it’s really affecting our discourse,” he said on Thursday.

Just for starters
There is nothing to begin with. ObamaCare is very popular today. This guy did a study, and it showed that Repubicans lie the most. He did not present a few anecdotal instances because he didn't like ObamaCare.

Yeah just ignore the mountain of lies. Rubes love being frisked

In 2012, Bill Adair, the founder of the Pulitzer Prize-winning website PolitiFact, was on C-SPAN, and a caller on the Democratic line posed a simple question. He had read that PolitiFact had granted more “false” ratings to Republicans than Democrats. “Isn’t that true?” he asked. Adair replied, “I can honestly say I do not keep score.” As Adair now concedes, “I was lying.” PolitiFact did keep score, and the pattern was that Republicans lied more. A lot more.

Adair recounts this moment in his new book, Beyond the Big Lie: The Epidemic of Political Lying, Why Republicans Do It More, and How It Could Burn Down Our Democracy. As you can tell from the subtitle, Adair is no longer reluctant to state plainly that the GOP is way ahead of the Dems when it comes to lying. A longtime reporter for the St. Petersburg Times, Adair founded PolitiFact in 2007. He stepped down as its editor in 2013 to become Knight professor of the practice of journalism and public policy at Duke University and has remained an important voice on assorted media matters. His book presents compelling tales of the ongoing war on truth, including a profile of a January 6 rioter who believed Donald Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 election and an account of a Republican assault on an admirable Biden administration effort to counter disinformation. (Yes, conservatives objected to an attempt to combat the dissemination of falsehoods, apparently believing misinformation too often overlaps with Republican talking points and assertions.)

The book is an important and readable contribution to the debate on what’s happening to truth in the media these days. Adair eschews both-sidesism and demonstrates that Republicans have adopted lying as a fundamental tactic and hurl prevarications far more than Democrats.

Except that the UCR shows that whites commit the most crimes. So IGAF what you will listen to. This guy studied it and found that republicans lie the most.

So deal with it.

This guy is retarded as is yourself, blacks proportionately commit more crimes than ANYONE else. ******

well thats not exactly true. They commit more crimes for their representation of the population but because they are fewer, the larger groups commit higher numbers of crime.

Without some examples, the conclusion is meaningless. A "lie" is a statement of fact that the speaker knows to be false at the time when he said it. Who decides what is true, false, an exaggeration, or an honest mistake? THAT PERSON decides who lies the most.

President Trump lies all the time ("This is the biggest tax cut in American history!"), but I think listeners understand that and take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Some lies are significant and others are harmless. Telling Americans that the "Affordable Care Act" would save Americans an average of $2,500 per year in lower health insurance premiums is what most would consider a "whopper." Not only false, but egregiously false and intended to deceive people on a significant matter. I suppose Trump has done similar things, but none come to mind.

Suffice it to say, we are living in a golden age of information, when one can check a politician's statements through multiple sources and find out the reality of the matter. It is also the worst of times, when most outlets have an agenda and are peddling a Narrative rather than objective reality.
