The Democrats are handwringing, playing the blame game, trying to figure out what went wrong in a mostly non controversial election process. The Republicans are happy and very relieved that common sense won out in a terribly divided and contentious country. But now that the dust is settling it is becoming obvious:

America won wonderfully on Tuesday with these facts underscored:

The large majority of the country do not want DEI to be the rule over competence, efficiency, effectiveness, qualifications.

The large majority of the country do not want their children taught CRT or sexualized curriculum.

The large majority of the country do not want their children exposed to lewd sexually explicit entertainment and parade displays.

The large majority of the country did not want government requiring them to allow their children to be transgendered or otherwise taking away their parental rights.

The large majority of the country want at least some reasonable restrictions on abortion and not a policy that allows abortion to be legal at ANY stage for ANY reason.

The large majority of the country do not want biological males in the women's locker rooms and public restrooms or in women's sports.

The large majority of the country do not want to be overrun by migrants and want the migrant invasion stopped, the migrants already here to leave, and those who immigrate here to do so via application and other legal means. That includes a substantial majority of Americans of latino/Hispanic heritage.

The large majority of the country do not want their tax dollars wasted or to be obligated for massive spending bills that target small, mostly undeserving groups and/or are wasted on policy that is accomplishing little or nothing that makes American quality of life better.

The large majority of the country want government that focuses on policy that promotes liberty, choices, opportunity, options and prosperity for ALL Americans across the board.

And underscore that LIBERTY several times.

Etc.

Guess you didn't pay actual attention to the votes that were cast on this issue on Tuesday...save for DeSantis Land. :)

Okay. I phrased that one badly. I'll edit it to make my point more clear.

I guess you need to join that remedial reading comprehension course I've recommended for quite a few of your leftist friends. Care to try again and address what I actually wrote?
Jesus H Christ, this is the SECOND post you've made where you actually deny what you actually typed.

You know what, forget it. You're useless.

The demographics show that whites overwhelmingly voted for Trump. What people voted for was none of the things you say. Some voted based on an erroneous belief that trump will create an economy where they will have more money. Others voted based on racism and sexism. We did not get liberty, choice, or option for all Americans by electing Trump.

I'm expecting the same old, same old out of Washington. Presidential power will mostly be limited to executive orders and the only thing the parties will agree on are more I.O.U.'s for our descendants and servicing the debt having a greater proportion of future budget expenditures.

Sorry I deleted that post. I judged your response wrongly and I apologize. Please see my Post #3.

That depends on the GOP. Trump's first term included a GOP that was far too much old Guard GOP, especially in the Senate. They resented an outsider showing them up as the weak, timid, often feckless group of do nothings that they had been. I'm hope they are substantially outnumbered now and most of those in the House have hopefully been voted out.

So if Trump has a majority in Congress who support the MAGA vision, stand back and watch for good things to happen.

Could you explain to me what is common sensical about voting for a man who's central economic plan (tariffs) to address the nation's financial woes is going to reignite inflation and cause the deficit to balloon if he acts on his promise?

Famous quote that I thunk applies here...

AMERICANS WILL ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING...AFTER THEY HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL OTHER ALTERNATIVES! :D
That was the philosophy of the Founders. They knew people being people would screw up, get things wrong, adopt bad policy, make huge mistakes. But in the end, a people living under liberty would figure out how to get it right and, because it advantaged them and theirs to get it right, would do the right thing. They knew liberty could not exist with government dictating how the people were required to think, believe or live their lives.

I suggest you stand back and watch what happens with a President who is promoting a strong, secure, free American with choices, options, opportunity, prosperity and liberty for all and that will not allow bad actors in the world use American as their useful idiot and/or sugar daddy any longer.

None of the leftist economists dire predictions came true in his first term of office and there is no reason not to let him try those same policies now that were effective in strengthening and improving the quality of life in all demographics in this first term.

And hopefully we won't have to deal with Democrats requiring mega billions in unrelated pork included in EVERY piece of legislation before they would pass it this time.

The only demographic where President Trump didn't gain more support in this past election was ... Educated White Women.
Put the crackpipe down ... Your bullshit is still just bullshit ... You ignorant twat ...

And he gained double digit percentages with blacks and hispanics but hey keep on thinking that. Lol. You still haven't learned.

That would be LEFTIST 'educated' white women. But I hear that a lot of those are declaring a sex strike for the next four years. That's good news because abortion rights will no longer be an issue and they won't reproduce. :)

I agree Jack. Even though abortion is wrong unless medically necessary and to be avoided whenever possible, it IS a medical procedure, and one can no more federally flat out DENY a woman the choice than they should GUARANTEE it.

But reasonable restrictions are reasonable:
  • Getting an elective abortion should require you to go through counseling first where you are given time and urging to consider what you are about to do.
  • Practical limits must be set that the abortion be done by, say, the 16th week, no later.
  • That repeat abortions come with fines and financial responsibility. Don't just keep slutting around wantonly.
  • And finally, repeat offenders who keep getting pregnant unwantedly needing abortions every time at some point are required to undergo a hysterectomy at their expense to end the cycle.

The only bad side associated with their 'sex strike' ... Would be the ensuing divorces just leading to more terribly bitter women.
They care so much that they will destroy everything good around them ...

The Trump economic policy is very strong.
It wasn't wrong in his first term and there is nothing substantially different that he is promoting in the second term. So why not give it a chance. What the Democrats were doing obviously was not satisfactory to the vast majority of Americans.

I suspect those pushing these nutty things are already divorced or are hostile to men to begin with. But come on. Get with the spirit of it. It could be a good thing. :)
