Israeli Soldier Confirms Charlie Kirk’s Intuition That October 7 Was a Security “Stand-Down”
An Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldier of the elite Golani Brigade who lost a leg in the fighting testified last week to the Israeli Knesset (the equivalent of US Congress or a parliament) that his unit was given a “strange” order to cancel a routine patrol at the exact time and location where Hamas broke through the fence to attack Israel on October 7.
The testimony seems to support the intuition expressed by slain American political activist Charlie Kirk when he wondered out loud if there was a “stand-down order” given at a high level in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) which facilitated the Hamas attack.
October 7 provided the grounds for the Israeli attack on Gaza and its population.
Charlie Kirk said in 2023:
“I’ve been to that Gaza border. You you cannot go 10 feet without running into a 19-year-old with an AR-15 or an automatic machine gun that is an IDF soldier, right? The whole country is surveiled….. … I think some questions need to be asked. Was there a standown order? Was there a standown order? 6 hours. I don’t believe it. Israel’s the size of New Jersey. When I took a helicopter ride from Jerusalem to the Gaza border, it’s 45 minutes. Wow. 6 hours they’re live streaming the killing of Jews. Did somebody in the government say stand down? That is a legitimate non conspiracy question. The whole country is the IDF…”
The IDF soldier, Sgt. Shalom Sheetrit, said in July 2025, seated before a committee of the Israeli Knesset:
“We were playing on the phone [at 5:20 a.m.] and suddenly a strange message comes from my battalion commander…And what he says on the call is something like this: ‘I don’t know why, but an order was issued that there are no patrols at the fence until nine in the morning….
And Tomer gives us this look like,. What? You know, we’re simple soldiers, just combatants. we’re infantry, not commanders or officers who can ask questions, right? It’s an order from the deputy battalion commander. we take the order and and don’t ask questions …and sure enough exactly an hour later suddenly sirens….
… it’s very important that there is an unequivocal answer here. And whoever needs to pay the price, you pay so many murdered, kidnapped,… For very little things we would jump to the fence, for every little thing.”

In 2023, soon after the 10/7 attack, former Director of the US Defense Intelligence Agency Gen. Flynn said in an interview:
“There was a decision made to have a security stand-down on the 7th of October for 7 hours on the southern zone….up against the fence line against the Gaza strip, and I’m telling you folks, that wasn’t done by happenstance and that’s not a coincidence. Somebody made that decision, don’t know if Netanyahu made it, or the Southern Zone commander who made it, but somebody made it…”
Former Defense Intelligence Agency Director Gen. Mike Flynn, “There was a decision made…”
In another interview in July, Gen. Flynn reiterated his position, forcefully ruling out mere incompetence or “mistakes,” and calling the Hamas 10/7 attack an “inside thing,” which is a term for an attack enabled by or organized by the government itself, or by a faction within that government, in order to further a political or geopolitical agenda.
Flynn said:
“I’ve already heard from some of the [IDF] soldiers who were told to stand-down at the exact hours, so something bad happened and it was an inside thing….Something broke down and it wasn’t because of mistakes.”
Below: Gen. Michael Flynn, “It wasn’t because of mistakes.”
Over the past years, Israeli intelligence agencies and a former Israeli defense minister under Netanyahu have criticized his funding and support of Hamas, and even accused him of enabling October 7.
Why Netanyahu Would Want to Kill Charlie Kirk
“I don’t believe it.” – Charlie Kirk on 10/7 attack succeeding without “stand-down” order from IDF high command Soon after the Hamas attack of 10/7, Charlie Kirk…
