DAESH is much more fundamentalist than HAMAS. And I'm not sure that DAESH can live long in the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) without either indigenous support. You cannot live, maneuver and operate in a predominantly Shi'ite community without being discovered. And the hardcore DAESH jihadi salafist may not mix well with the Fedayeen or the Shi'ite fighters of the Islamic Resistance. While they might collaborate in an anti-Israeli project, the Palestinians will quickly find-out that they are riding the tiger.

On the other hand, if DAESH openly attacks the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Israel will have no choice by to defend the Palestinians. The question will be if the Sunni (DAESH) and Shi'ite (Palestinian) will turn on each other; or join and fight Israel?

But I think it is rather unlikely that DAESH would be able to set-up a base anywhere in the immediate adjacent Arab States without a counterterrorist or counterinsurgent response.

I guess since Israel can invade other lands they might feel justified. The US and Israel had the largest Air Force drill in southern Israel and darn if a Russian passenger plane didn't go down. The Squad team was having a drill in San Bernardino and well you know what happened. The French were also having a drill. So we best quit having drills, don't ya think.

I honestly think that ISIS is taking a hard look at how easily Hamas, Fatah, the PLO, and the rest of the Arab world has made good political use/pawns out of the Palestinians and want some of that 'money' in their bank and is going to more focus on taking control over the Palestinians away from first Hamas and later Fatah.
