My guess is yes. This is how Trump bargains with adversaries of the United States, whether it is China, or the Democrat Party.

He won't be able to deport them as fast as Harris brought them in. He's hoping that Democrats, if they get control of Congress, do not stop him from removing the rapist, murderers, drug smugglers, gang recruiters, child traffickers and other vermin.

The Democrats will fight for those people to stay, just as hard as they worked for them to enter, so maybe that will lead to Yuge losses for them in the midterms.

Many will simply go home on their own. Start vigorously prosecuting employers. Start jailing the NGOs that find employment. Empty the shelters. Bring tourism back to New York return the hotels to tourists. Empty them of criminal invaders.
