I recently read that in Norway some 90% of children aged 1 - 5 are in state-subsidized day car. It was presented as some sort of proof of improving gender equality, but does anyone think this is a good thing?

In what sense?

Is it "good" for Norway and Norwegians? Seems that way.

Do I think we should do the same thing? Not really.

Do you imagine it could be good for the kids, wherever they are?

Sure, I could "imagine" it being good. I can imagine a lot of things though.

I don't know enough specifics about it to make a value judgement.
