I saw it on the road in carefree

A side road and I got out of my car to guide t across the road. It was just like sleeping

It was very belligerent and I think puffed and hissed

Looks like a Gila monster to me. They have a venomous bite and can strike very quickly after a warning such as you were given.

The Gila Monster Lizards are the ones providing their venom as the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy.

Study closely Morticia . That could be the one that is wrecking your insides right now .

I"ve been all over arizona and New Mexico but i think i may have missed Carefree. There were some places i'd been to that now that i think about it, they couldn't have been real.
It is north of Scottsdale near Cave Creek.

I just looked it up.. I like Phoenix. Lots of great restaurants in that area. Also a trader Vic's in Scottsdale.
I went to high school at Phoenix Union in the 60s but I lived in Maryvale. I've only been back once since then an only got an aerial view as we flew into Sky Harbor. I grew up in the El Paso/Las Cruces/Deming area.

El Paso...LOVE that city especially that drive into it coming from the west. It was gorgeous.

It's not on the beaten path. It's north and east of Scottsdale.

For a long time you could not find it. The residents there wanted it low key.

They finally caved to development.

So many places have and it's ruined them. Hilton Head Island is one of those too. I doubt i'd even recognize some of the places i've been out west now.
