So far the evidence presented by Christians and the adherents of other religions, like Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus..etc, amounts to nothing more than speculation. The truth is that we still don't know for sure, what or who caused the so-called "Big Bang", but I'm going to present a few possible scenarios, as food for thought.

It's established by science that the future, can influence or even cause the past:

God, when fully actualized, as a person or conscious being, is an emergent, actualized entity, rising from a community of countless minds. Similar to how trillions of individual cells, can unite as a multiple-celled organism or a human body, generating a human psyche or soul. It's possible that the space-time continuum, that we are currently in, is caused both by the divine entity in the future, that emerges from a community of believers, who love and serve each other, and from a simple quantum energetic field of potential. The cosmos is essentially a divine process of actualization, from simple to infinite complexity.

God is both simple and complex, both unconscious and conscious, both the many and the one. God in a way, begins as an impersonal, energetic field of potentials, and that divine potential evolves, and expands, through a divine cosmic process influenced if not guided by God Himself who is fully actualized in the future. This God is both Alpha and Omega, including the process between these two divine singularities. You and I are part and parcel of God, currently existing within that divine process of actualization.

In the future, all life will unite as one, and in that infinite future singularity or Omega Point, there will be a recreation or resurrection, where you and I will wake up in paradise. Our descendants in the far future, out of mercy, will wake us up from the dead, and grant us the privilege of eternal life and love. We become truly one with each other and with God. God today is pulling history to Himself. History in a way is His Story. History is the story of God, the process through which God becomes fully actualized, through space and time.

Here is a video that provides more detail on what I presented above, from the perspective of Fr Pierre Teilhard de Chardin:

I find the above theory, quite interesting. I'm an agnostic, but I do believe in the paranormal. And these spirits have in the past expressed that they are living in a community of spirits (often identifying themselves as one, even though they're a multiplicity of many spirits) and that God is reality itself:

Here you can get some more information on the Scole Experiments:

In summary, is there a personal God? I don't know, but some of the above theories and evidence is pretty interesting. I haven't come to any final conclusions, hence I remain an agnostic, but open to the possibility that there's a super-intelligence or God, who is connected to everything, if not one with it all. As far as life after death, again, I don't know. I have some hope that perhaps after bodily death, something of me survives, allowing me to experience life, under better conditions than I experienced here in this world.

such influence of the past by the future has not been established that i know of.

quantum entanglements an interesting theory bit i'm not sure of any examples that don't start with

"an electron and a proton walk into a bar......"

are you referring tosomething different?

No it doesn't. It remains speculation for YOU because you are agnostic or atheistic. But to those who have had profound religious experiences upon which to base their faith, there is no speculation, for you see, God reveals himself to each person through the inner heart, but what you want is some 60 foot tall guy with a beard to appear before you as proof throwing thunderbolts.

Absolutely .
No such person or entity .

Just Consciousness .
And see latest research findings that show matter creating itself from Light -- the medium/frequency of Consciousness .
Interesting.

Quantum eraser experiment. The observer in the future determines conditions in the past. There are several theories, but that's one of them. I'm not suggesting that it's the only explanation, maybe it's not. I just offered a possible alternative to traditional religious theology, provided the theory of retrocausation is true. It might not be, you're correct. I'm an agnostic.

That's just speculation and subjective. What you are identifying as a personal God may be something else completely. There's no way to know and in light of the Bible's many contradictions and flaws, I don't see how any person who thinks critically and rationally could believe that's God's inerrant word.

Here is a video that provides more detail on what I presented above, from the perspective of Fr Pierre Teilhard de Chardin:
The Phenomenon of Man is a great book. Have you read it?

There have been 5 stages of evolution of space and time; cosmic evolution, stellar evolution, chemical evolution, biological evolution and evolution of consciousness.

In his book, "The Phenomenon of Man" Pierre Teilhard de Chardin describes evolution as a process that leads to increasing complexity, culminating in a Christ consciousness. He limited his observations to biological evolution but the same observation can be made about all stages of the evolution of space and time. The complexification of matter increased until it naturally and logically made the leap to the next stage. The last and final stage of evolution of space and time is consciousness. So it seems logical that consciousness would also increase in complexity until it to made the leap to the next stage which Chardin describes as Christ consciousness.
  1. The universe began as a soup of subatomic particles and radiation and naturally and logically complexified into hydrogen and helium. This is what is called the cosmic stage of the evolution of space and time.
  2. Hydrogen and helium then naturally and logically complexified into structures like stars and galaxies. This is what is called the stellar stage of the evolution of space and time.
  3. From the life cycle of galaxies and stars all of the other elements and compounds were naturally and logically formed. This is what is called the chemical stage of the evolution of space and time.
  4. As chemical evolution naturally and logically complexified the leap to biological life was made. This is what is called the biological stage of the evolution of space and time.
  5. As life logically and naturally evolved and complexified the leap to consciousness was made. This is what is called the conscious stage of of the evolution of space and time.
So we can see that each successive stage of the evolution of space and time complexified until it made the leap to the next stage. And it did so naturally and logically. So Chardin's assumption that consciousness will make the leap to a Christ consciousness is logical because it presumes that consciousness will evolve and complexify and make the leap to the next level because every other stage of the evolution of space and time did so too before it.

Wait. Why are you bringing up the Bible here? God can be known through the light of human reason through the study of what he has created.

Even though I'm an agnostic, I find his ideas extremely captivating. If I were to accept a theology, it would be that.

Wait. Why are you bringing up the Bible here? God can be known through the light of human reason through the study of what he has created.
That would be a less dogmatic theology, than what most religious, fundamentalist Christians believe. I'm open to the existence of a God, I'm just not convinced by the traditional, religious notions of God.

I've heard many people claim to be agnostic but I've only met one who truly was.

Agnostic: a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

So true agnostics don't waste their time discussing the existence or non-existence of God. Nor do they comment on the beliefs of others, other than to say nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God.

That comes straight from the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Teilhard de Chardin is the official theology of the Roman Catholic Church? Where did you get that from? He was banned, and prohibited from writing and publishing his works. People didn't learn about him until after his death.

Not necessarily. An agnostic can be someone who doesn't have enough evidence to believe in a God but is open to the possibility that a God may still exist, irrespective of their lack of evidence or belief. I'm searching for the truth on the matter, and find the topic interesting, and worth exploring and discussing.

That's not the definition of agnostic. Agnostics believe it can't be known.

That's not the definition of agnostic. Agnostics believe it can't be known.

  1. Agnosticism as Uncertainty About Knowledge: In its strictest sense, agnosticism refers to the position that it is impossible to know whether God or any divine being exists. This form of agnosticism, often called "strong agnosticism" or "epistemological agnosticism," asserts that human beings are inherently limited in their capacity to acquire knowledge about the divine, and therefore, such knowledge is unattainable.
  2. Agnosticism as Open-Mindedness: In a broader, more commonly used sense, agnosticism can refer to someone who is open to the possibility that God exists but does not currently have enough evidence or conviction to make a definitive claim. This is often called "weak agnosticism" or "empirical agnosticism." Such agnostics are open to future evidence or experiences that could sway their belief one way or the other.
So, agnosticism can encompass both a firm belief in the impossibility of knowing and an open-minded position that is undecided due to a lack of sufficient information. Stop being pedantic in your definition of agnosticism and recognize that it has a broader meaning than the one you're asserting. I identify because I don't affirm there isn't a God, nor do I believe there is one, I simply don't have enough information right now to make a decision, either way. Maybe in the future, I will, but now I don't.
