I fell asleep watching TV last night and woke up with the CBS nightly news on covering world events. It was like going through the looking glass into another world.
The chubby woman with deer-in-the-headlights eyes like someone was holding a gun to her head reported on two stories.
In the ICE story, she made it out like ICE had just arbitrarily picked this reefer farm and went in beating up and arresting innocent people based solely on their looks, dress, and language. They made no mention of the fact that numerous children were found working there nor the people with criminal backgrounds.
They made it sound like ICE killed an innocent worker there, who in fact was not even sought by ICE but had climbed up on the roof by himself and fell on his own. His body is being claimed by his wife in Mexico.
Then they went on to talk about Trump like he was the gestapo out there killing people with a knife or something. I was frankly amazed. The entire broadcast by CBS was diametrically opposite to weeks of reporting by every other news agency I follow out there and had the flavor of someone trying to incite the public to rise up in violence against the government. It was, frankly, shocking.
