Hundreds of autism centers popped up to meet demand in Minnesota. Now 85 are under investigation.
There is real demand, with many children being put on waitlists. But there is now growing concern over how many providers are doing real work.

“When Minnesota’s autism program first started a decade ago, there were only a handful of providers registered with the state.
However, the program has experienced significant growth in recent years, marked by an increase in the number of claims and new providers. There are now more than 450 autism centers registered in the state.
“You get this diagnosis and you’re like, what am I supposed to do?” said Tai Sims of Woodbury.
Sims’ son, Tyler, was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. He’s one of an estimated 50,000 kids in Minnesota to receive a diagnosis.”

It seems as though this should be a HUGE concern. It is the water in Minnesota ? The air in Minnesota? Something related to the birth process in Minnesota?
How it is that autism rose 32,000% in Minnesota, but not in other states, not even states that border Minnesota.
Could it be fraud? Could fraud be driving higher taxes?
There appears to be a real lack of concern about what is driving this spike in autism ONLY IN MINNESOTA.
