Iran's president, Masoud Pezeshkian, has reportedly asked the Islamic Republic's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to refrain from attacking Israel, according to a report by Iran International on Wednesday.
Pezeshkian warned Khamenei of the potential attack's effects on his presidency, with Iran International quoting sources familiar with the development.
Iran International said that sources familiar with the subject noted that Khamenei "remained noncommittal" during the session, "neither supporting nor opposing Pezeshkian's concerns."

Clearly the Iranian leadership is confused and humiliated by Israel's (?) attack that killed Haniyeh in Tehan while under the protection of the IRGC, so confused that they have offered three distinctly different explanations of how it was done and now they face the question of will an attack on Israel give them back their swagger or will Israel's response to it cause Iran to be further humiliated?
