International Wimmins' Day? Never heard of it. Every day should be Wimmins' Day.

For those who missed it, I grew up in a time when any young healthy woman could choose to forego gainful employment, and seek out a "good provider," who would impregnate her several times, and they would both be happy for the rest of their miserable, conventional, uninspired lives. Often, intelligent ambitious women would decline to go to college because there was truly no point to it (other than securing a more promising husband), and no one thought worse of her for it.

Now, women who do not work outside the home, regardless of how many kids, elderly parents, or other burdens she might have to bear, is considered to be a slacker.

Now armies of women (see the pictures), especially educated women, are lonely, miserable, unfulfilled, and wondering why they are on a fast train to nowhere in their personal lives. "Cat ladies," they are sometimes called.
