One person I wanted to tribute who passed in September. Obituaries courtesy of the Associated Press:

Willard Scott, 87. The beloved weatherman who charmed viewers of NBC’s “Today” show with his self-deprecating humor and cheerful personality. Sept. 4. I used to watch him every morning growing up--I think my mom may have had a thing for Tom Brokaw. Didn't care much for him at first but he grew on me.
