Actually it's a proposed credit swap line designed to give Argentina more liquidity in international markets. It's a counter to China's influence in South America. And it will not cost the US taxpayer a dime.

If Milei accepts the deal it will be another win for America brilliantly orchestrated by the Trump administration.

Milei has to walk a tightrope on this. There is no guarantee he will accept the proposal. Trump is going to meet him in person again to try to convince hm to accept the deal.
