...in the Louisiana governor race runoff,

here you go

Remind us that 'character matters' to conservatives...

Again, republicans have only themselves to blame for such ridicule – the consequence of republican nonsense about being the party of 'family values.'

Well at least no RWnuts are defending Vitter. I guess they are proving that every once awhile they're able to see the better man in a race,

in this case, the Democrat.

Vitter is finished. He won't pull out a run off win. He's trailing Edwards by almost 20 points.

That's probably one of the worst negative ads ever.

The guy is already way ahead of Vitter. Up by 22 points. He didn't have to go negative, especially that negative.

But that's Louisiana for you.

You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. That's only a negative ad because Vitter is such a negative as a human being.

He might still pull a rabbit out of the hat and win.

Republicans, especially in more local elections, have been doing that a lot lately.

All the more reason not to take the boot off Vitter's neck.

It has to hurt like hell. Vitter can't deny he took a call from a hooker. He did.

That he did it after dodging a vote to benefit vets is the twisting of the knife.

That ad has got to be tearing Vitter's guts to pieces. It's impenetrable. There's no way to parry.

His staff is probably working double overtime to find some oppo on Edwards. That boy better be pure as the driven snow.
