As the emails and texts show, everyone at Fox News knew Trump lost the 2020 election. Even Tucker Carlson knew. He expressed his relief they would never have to deal with Trump again and called him a "demonic force".
And yet, on the air they backed Trump's Big Lie to the hilt. They peddled his lies for him, and gave it credence to the credulous rubes.
Why did they do this?
It was all about ratings. They feared they would lose their weak-minded viewers to Newsmax.
Yes, it was that craven. The records prove it.
This all culminated in an insurrection on January 6 in which people died.
Neither Trump nor Fox News ever expressed any regret.
But Fox "News" has had to pay YUGE bucks for their mendacity. It has cost them dearly to be Trump's water carriers.
It has also cost Newsmax big bucks.
And the cases against these propagandists aren't over. Fox still has to deal with Smartmatic, and Newsmax still has to deal with Dominion.
So...the question is, who will Trump turn to for Big Lie 2: Electric Boogaloo should he lose again?
And what lawyers would be crazy enough to risk jail and disbarment the way the first crop of Big Liars has?
