If umps did the moonwalk and danced as Leslie Nielsen did in Naked Gun, would baseball be more entertaining?

If anyone has seen this movie it's one of those old school stupid comedies that works.

In the movie Nielsens character is an ump and dances in between calls and strike outs, entertaining the crowd. When I was a kid I thought "this would be a great idea for baseball"

The players hit HRs now and showboat, flip bats, put on HR vests, engage in antics. Why not the umps too?

Agree or disagree?

It's hard enough to get people to take the really thankless job of umpiring games without expecting them to moonwalk. LOL

Seriously, while I love the concept of the game and went through little league with our son and coached my daughter's softball team when she was in fifth grade--I still love the kids' sports--baseball is among my least favorite spectator sport because it is just so slow. I wish there was something to do to make it more interesting.

If not a moonwalk, just a loud, "striiiike three, you're outa there, yaaaaah baby, sit down you overpaid stiff!"

Do a little dance and point to the bench or something.

Look, the worlds changed. The sport needs a spark. I used to enjoy watching it but it's so damn boring now I fall asleep faster than watching golf and those announcers are designed to put you to sleep.

No. Very boring form of rounders and softball.

Unlike Cricket!!!

lol

Its a sport thats been around for a long time and was really big in the regions of the U.S. where people used to sit around and watch wheat grow just to see what was going to happen next! Back in the day, baseball would have been an adrenaline rush in comparison. You could say its lost a little of its cool factor in generations going forward.
Probably much like the Scandinavian sport of curling.

I boycott all pro sports !
Well, non-athletes like things like dance, gymnastics, and twirling.
To each their own.

But you are probably really cool to the Nascar, WWE, and Boxing crowd......LOLLLOLLOLL

The whole problem is that you're focusing on the Umps. The Japanese have already solved this problem.
