Okay, I admit, "Agenda 21" by Glen Beck was an awful book. However, Agenda 21, the United Nations "sustainable development plan" is very real.
The concern is that the plan will encourage countries to shift focus away from individual rights toward everyone giving up rights such as property rights to the "collective". Many aspects of the plan start at the community (town, city) level so people are encouraged to watch carefully as town councils are encouraged to pass rules that align with the plan.

On the surface, so much of the plan looks so very innocent. However, after reading much of it, I agree there are areas that could be manipulated by some very progressive elements in big government. The end result could be very ugly.
Examples:
"Remove biases against exports and in favour of inefficient import substitution and establish policies that allow them to benefit fully from the flows of foreign investment, within the
framework of national, social, economic and developmental goals;"
Can anyone say "one world government" and "universal currency"?
"Promote the creation of a domestic economic environment supportive of an optimal balance between production for the domestic and export markets."
Which perhaps opens the door to socialism.
