I have piloted Pipers, A Mooney and a Stinson Voyager and a Cessna. I had a good friend who owned a Beechcraft and his was the ordinary tail configuration. But Beech also sold the V tail and this video explains those. They have broken up enough times the aviation community got alarmed. So, check out the video.

Hadn't heard of this before, but will stay away from the V tail for sure.

BTW, I'm impressed with Beechcraft otherwise. Flew a Duchess years ago and found it a joy, and great ride. Out of my budget though.
