How did he get through the hiring process? The town's leaders have some explaining to do.

An attempted firearms purchase led to the arrest of a Jamaican citizen who the town of Old Orchard Beach had hired as a police officer, FOX News reported on Monday afternoon.

Jon Luke Evans entered the U.S. legally in September 2023, but overstayed his visa, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) stated. He was due to return top Jamaica on October 1 of that year but never boarded his flight home.

The Maine Wire contacted the Old Orchard Beach Police Department seeking information about when Evans was hired, the status of his employment and what type of vetting the department employs in its hiring process, but it did not immediately respond.

Evans was reportedly flagged by ICE when he applied tried to buy a gun for use on his job as a policeman, FOX’s Bill Melugin wrote."

Weird isn’t it. It’s almost like white people commit crimes far less than browns.
Do they? The numbers say differently, oh btw they are not just deporting folks who commit crimes, as a matter of fact the majority of folks being grabbed up haven't committed any crime.

And we know that isn't the case except in racists' fevered dreams. This was shown in NYC's stop and frisk programme, where whites carried illegal goods at a greater rate than Blacks.

A lot of people never check paperwork like they are supposed to. A neighbor's daughter is in some doo doo because she is an RN who moved from state to state outside the nursing compact working as an RN without ever moving her license with her and she finally ran into a hospital that checked after she was hired.

As for illegals, this is why the IRS is the linch pin in identifying them and they have been quiet as a church mouse because they liked all the extra money.

Every single one of them committed a crime the moment they crossed the border.

Nobody is above the law.

Remember?
Entry to seek asylum is the supreme law of the land and is not punished. Is there some reason MAGAts can't grasp this?

What rights do refugees have under the 1951 Convention?

  • The right not to be expelled, except under certain, strictly defined conditions (Article 32)
  • The right not to be punished for irregular entry into the territory of a contracting State (Article 31)
  • The right to non-discrimination (Articles 3 and 5)
  • The right to decent work (Articles 17 to 19 and 24)
  • The right to housing, land and property, including intellectual property (Articles 13, 14 and 21)
  • The right to education (Article 22)
