I will tell you a dirty little secret. What should inflation be adjusted for inflation compared to the 1970's?

In the 1970's, the minimum wage was around $7 per hour. But adjusted for inflation, what would it be today?

It would be $66 an hour, showing you the power of the government spending the country into oblivion with neither party even remotely keeping up. In fact, the highest minimum wage in the US is around $17 an hour.

Now by all means, vote for more "free stuff" everyone!!!

Yay, it's a party!!!!

Did you know that the federal minimum wage started out at 25 cents per hour in 1938 and, adjusted for inlation, that minimum wage would be $5.73 per hour in 2025?

The highest federal minimum wage during the 1970s was $2.90/hr. Sounds like Yahoo needs to do better research.
