I note that there are no DEI hires on Trump's security detail.

I noticed that yesterday at the rally and just now as Trump arrived at the WH.

At the end of the rally, when he headed towards the audience and was shaking hands, the six dudes around him were all his size/height. A stark contrast from his detail in Butler.

LOL.....They are gonna have to train-up a basketball team to cover Barron....That young man must be 6'-8".

Yea but he's slow.

Kind of an insult when it was a woman who threw her body in the way while bullets were flying

Yep, she had those kneecaps covered.

Too many women didn't show up for Hillary or Kamala for me to feel sorry for them.

Affirmative action in the United States began in 1965 with the issuance of Executive Order 11246 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. This order required federal contractors to take action to ensure equal opportunity in employment.
Zero women CEO's in 1965
In 1980, there were no women CEOs in the Fortune 100. In fact, all of the CEOs of the top 50 Fortune 500 companies were white men.
In 1990, there were three women CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.

In 2000, there were two women CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.

In 2010, 15 women were CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.

In 2020, 37 women were CEOs of companies in the Fortune 500, which was an all-time high.

As of July 2024, there were 52 women CEOs in the Fortune 500

Without affirmative action, how many women CEO's do you think we would have today?

I doubt if any one of them would be missed.

Remember Liz Holmes?

I doubt if any one of them would be missed.
And I doubt any of them would be CEO's if not for AA or DEI.

This is ONE reason I'm now against AA.

1. Women and minorities don't appreciate it. They resent it because everyone thinks/knows they are a DEI hire. And they didn't vote for it. So Republicans should end it.

2. I'm a white man and I think the time for affirmative action is over. Every man and woman for themselves.

3. I've seen DEI hires. They are WORSE than the white men they replaced.

I wonder what the number of CEO's will be women in 4 years. The problem is, DEI won't go away within corporations. They want to show outside groups that they are being socially responsible.

According to the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, over 2,500 companies have signed the DEI pledge, representing the largest CEO-driven commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

She couldn't reach them.

Why would you hit disagree? What do you disagree with? I asked a question

Certainly you look at all or most of them as DEI hires.

Next question, and don't worry about offending women, because you said (JD VANCE) that the only role for a 50 year old women is grand mother. But most CEO's are 51. So you clearly don't think a woman should be a CEO. Or, a very very small number. Women shouldn't have such ambitions.

And you know what? I may agree with you now. Based on the way women vote.

No, I don't look at people as DEI hires until they prove that are incompetent.

Why so few women, asians, blacks, hispanics, muslims in leadership positions? In a country as diverse as America, somethings wrong when so few women, asians, jews, blacks, hispanics and muslims make it to the top. How do you explain it?

I agree. The NBA is not diverse enough.

Education and drive. To make it to the top step in a company requires more work, and more dedication to a particular purpose than 99.9995% are willing to make.

That's a distraction. Sports we can measure and see that no one is being descriminated against on the basketball court.

We could talk about NFL coaching. That would be more appropriate or applicable. Want to talk about that? It's a great example of the good old boys network. How is a black man ever going to become a superbowl winning head coach if no old white coach (CEO) will take them under their wing and make them their successor?

Now that's what's happening in corporate America. It's not the only reason. You aren't all wrong. Women are going to give too much time to their kids when they finally decide to have them. Guys don't do that. And there aren't a lot of black guys qualified to be CEO. So I get that.

But you have to admit the good old boys network exists.

You vote Republican? So you must agree it's okay to have the good old (white) boys network if that's what white men in power want. It's their decision who they train and hire. I get it. I agree. We will do it your way for now. But women, it ain't gonna help you become equals. But you don't want to be. You want the old ways. For us men to take care of you, the weaker sex.

Nope, take your entire post and apply it to the NBA.

Explain it.

I'm not going to argue just for the sake of argument. There's a lot of truth to what you say and I don't think DEI hires are the right thing to do. To FORCE black CEO's on a company. Or FORCE women CEO's on to a company because the government likes it.
