Tennis shoelaces are notorious for knotting up when you go to untie them. This happens when the tag ends find their way through the loops, and when pulled forms a tangle or knot. To reduce this from happening (you won't prevent it 100 percent of the time) make sure to make small loops so the tag ends extend well below them. This reduces the chance that the tag ends will wiggle their way through the loops.

If I can help my fellow man in some small way I try to do so.

Sixty-six views, well on the way to end the scourge of knotted shoelaces. :)
