Racial inequality in educational achievement is largely the result of racially integrated schools. Segregate the schools and the inequality disappears. Minority students may remain academically lower than whites but the social reasons for this will disappear. Also, teachers must be the same as the students racially. The curriculum for minority students should reflect the aspirations that their parents hold for them. This reduces the generational conflict between parents and kids. Of course, academic standards for minorities must be lowered as well to reflect the deficits in education that most experience, especially students with little English language knowledge.
This will also ensure that white (and Asian) students won't be negatively affected by the presence of those who are failing to keep up academically, especially if the ratio of students of color reaches 40 percent of the student body, which has been shown to bring the grades of everyone down.
