My son and his friend were playing a "money match" on Tuesday. They are both single digit handicaps but not scratch players. They both ended up on the side of the green in two on a 500 yard par 5 about 10 feet apart. He said it was about a 30 yard shot and they were 10 yards off the green and they could only see the top of the flag from where they were. Not an easy shot. His friend hit first and they heard it hit the pin. They ran up and sure enough it was in the hole! My son hit next and his friend was on the green watching. He heard it hit the pin and his friend raised his arms and yelled "EAGLE!! You asshole you eagled on top of me!!!!"
I've searched the web and I can't find odds on that but I have to believe that is more rare than a hole in one. Fun story anyway.
