Normal police protocol is not adhered to by some Kentucky police departments, like this one. Lack of knowledge of basic policing, and no emphasis on maintaining a standard level of training is evident on how this day turned out.

A federal agent was killed because the local cops are clueless.

Okay, thanks, I appreciate your honesty.

I understand now.
I suffer from recurring major depression and delusional paranoia also recurring thoughts of suicide but since 2004 the meds I take handle that very well.

I hope your meds don't have too many side effects, because many of them do. I'm glad to hear that you have a combination that is working for you.

But anyway, I won't get any further off topic, as it has nothing to do with this police dept.

Ok last off topic for me too, no major side effects except if I don't take the med I can't sleep it physical prevents me from sleep if I miss a dose.

Local cop shops have varying degrees of training depending on budget and leadership in the community it has always been that way.

Do you realize that this perp (who would be shot 13 times, including a fatal head shot) not only had a gun in his waistband but a knife in a sheath that was hanging from a lanyard around his neck?

That is negligence rarely seen in searching and securing a suspect.

I agree but again local cops receive varying degrees of training and supervision

And their response to this was to insure there will be five new surveillance cameras installed (a couple of their surveillance cameras were broken or turned off)

This does not even address the issue at all, it is the equivalent of punting the ball and starting over without admitting the larger problem. Instead, they have handed over the problem to the taxpayers in this county, who will pay for the civil suit already filed.
