As an other my ethnicity is kinda a quasi race its what iam if you are white you might rather say you are white then irish or German though thats how it works

I dont really believe ethnicity is important or defines one or sets us apart its just a interesting detail like ones zodiac sign

I also do not see myself as either roma serb or define myself by my austrian citizenship

I list my ancestry i mean all of my ancestry and avoid to pick a side over another but usually people would pick roma and often a attack on roma here is a veiled or straight up personal attack on me thats why i defend myself but i dont think roma are always right i think there are many more evils in roma culture then lets say croat i also am not proud to be roma i was just born that way and i never had a choice

I really don't blame Mort for this as pretty much every government and media outlet on earth is also obsessed with race/ethnicity.

Simply put, most human beings are not that bright, as the first thing they notice is the color of a persons skin.

Sadly, most do not progress after that as the go to war with each other over that very characteristic.

I think it's because he's Roma, gypsies (considered an ethnic slur nowadays) are discriminated against and spoken down or outcasts, in most European societies....it's deep rooted ...and that bothers him, hurts him....and he's trying to find a way....to deal with it....is my guess.

In my OP i said i talk about it out of interest like people see Zodiac signs and i also do DNA tests for example i think its not much different then Zebra asking what you think about Germans its interesting when someone says 'obsession' then it implies for me self hate ethnocentrism or identity politics or something along those lines
