Anas Said bought a couple of stickers online in support of the Islamic State back in 2017, and that put the FBI on his tail big time.

Said didn't know any terrorists, so undercover FBI agents pretending to be terrorist "befriended" him and got him to look up online how to bomb policy stations and get in online discussions supporting evil.

After 7 years of hard work, the FBI finally got enough evidence to pinch Mr. Said for "terrorism".

Interesting case IMHO, as no terror cell was busted, all of Said's terror "partners" were FBI agents.

Wouldn't it be a lot more helpful to public safety to have the FBI investigate groups that are actually active and doing actual evil, instead of spending 7 years to pinch a dough boy in a pizzeria who may not have ever actually done anything?

This kind of operation, which seems pretty common with the FBI, is something at Ms Gabbard needs to evaluate as our national intelligence chief.

How is this shit even allowed in a first world country?
The FBI has to go.

Heaven forbid the FBI doesn't monitor potential lone wolf terrorists.
He buys a couple of stickers so our govt pushes him over the edge. That might not have ever happened if it wasnt for them.
Its fucked up.
But im not surprised you defend this banana republic type shit.

This is how Canadian "policing" works and our economy is a toy economy because of it. The ingenuity we lose is startling, even new high performing immigrants who leave war zones go back home rather than live in our system.

I've said it before, if Elon Musk had moved to Canada instead of America he'd be stocking boxes in a warehouse, his manager would be a cop or a relative of a cop. That's how our caste system works.

The G Men of the past were serious agents. They were straight and narrow and employed creative thinkers who pursued real threats. They did heavy lifting without much credit and were basically the men on the wall who were very effective against a strong Russian enemy in particular.

I don't know enough about this case obviously but if the insinuation is entrapment and the use of agent provocateurs, you are just ballooning policing costs and hurting your economy and reputation in the process. Go take a look at policing costs in Toronto and Ontario in general. They are bankrupting jurisdictions and communities with manufactured threats and criminals.

They set people like this guy up so they can use them when needed to keep Congress compliant and providing funding with no oversight.

The thing is that if I would have seen "ISIS" stickers at Spencer's Gifts , I might have picked them up as well as a novelty. Just buying something like this doesn't make someone a terrorist, does it?

I suppose after a 7 year investigation and the expenditure of hundreds of thousands if not millions, the FBI has a case to prosecute. But how many are complete dead ends. Never get enough to put anyone in prison, people were just amused by something.

Nipping in the Bud Would Have Aborted 9/11

Freedom of Association doesn't cover thrill-killing psychos. The fact that he went along with the FBI's sting proves he was a subhuman to begin with. Anyone who deserves civil rights would have reported his handlers to the FBI itself. Then the G-men should have continued baiting the hook for these piranhas.
