Just right now a australian redneck complained on another forum 'but you can be jailed for Holocaust deniel'

I see it more nuanced i think if a 'chav' wears a nazi uniform or denies the Holocaust in his pub he should not be persecuted
A problem i see is when someone claiming to be a serious unbiased historian and scientist publishing many news and having a large audience makes the people really believe the Holocaust never happened the nazis were the good guys and implies that evil jews collectively blamed the germans that leads to more hate crimes and possibly a new Holocaust and its wrong anyways because the nazis were really nazis

No not like the Holocaust

Differences:

-The Holocaust was industrial large scale extermination because of suppossed racial otherness without any rockets or armed jews attacking the germans first or a war between jews and germans
-in israel arabs are not by law excluded from citizenship political participation and marriage with israelis (maybe there are some restrictions in religious marriage but so are in Islam, a muslima cannot marry a non muslim man) but its not racial if the hebrew is Christian there is no restrictions
- Israel warns civilians before they strike in Gaza the nazis never warned jews they did wanted to exterminate them


Etc Etc

So while the Israeli strikes are a excessive use of military force and should soften hardliners they are not a Holocaust
