Anyone who follows A24 knows they are a distinct treasure trove of movies that always acquire internet buzz, for better or worse.
Some of the lamest trash - at times even woke - has been borne out of their production bowels.
On the other hand, some of the most brilliant - hilarious - thought provoking material has spawned from same - and this is certainly one of those.
Suffice to say Hugh Grant plays a far more compelling villain than anything he depicted during his peak "rom com" days of yore.
Everything from philosophical debate, to religious diatribes, to Lovecraftian horror - even dark comedy and pop culture - is toyed with here in expert fashion.
Also visually stunning with no CGI.
8.5 out of 10.
YMMV.
