Never heard the term, but have observed it in stroke victims. Have seen it improved or disappear with treatment, therapy, and time.

My mom had an partial stroke when I was 8yrs old. Eventually it developed into a tumor that they removed when I was 20yrs old. She had partial paralysis on one side of her body which slowly started coming back. But she never regained full control of her left arm.

She lived till she was 93yrs old. She died in 2016 of natural causes.
