Have you noticed?....Over the years, passing zones on two-lane roads have been almost eliminated!

I recall here in Virginia years ago there were passing zones on almost every road that had a clear, wide stretch.
These zones were deemed safe for passing by the state's DOT and marked as such, but not anymore.

It's so frustrating to be stuck behind someone doing 25 in a 45 for miles with no legal way to get around them.
The passing lines that once existed are now all solid double lines and to add insult to injury many are "rumble stripped" now.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, they do it gradually because some Karen complains and then one day you wake up and realize what happened....Too late, another common sense freedom gone.

Step on it and go whens its clear....less ya have traffic cams all over.
