It appears to be more indoctrination than education.

How else can you explain how these students are only being taught about Left wing economic theory only?

The proliferation of non-stem courses and what I would call worthwhile Humanities courses has become frankly a money pit for so called "higher education". It follows a trend even in schools where you can do subjects like Surfing and Trail Biking.

It's expanding the number of courses to cater for anyone who wants some letters after their name. The biggest con of them all is of course "Environmental Studies"; pretends to be Stem but is just an excuse to smoke weed in the scrub!!

Which is it?

Do you remember when 99.5% of people considered hippies to be dirty filthy drug fukd immoral clap filled bludging dirtbags?? I do. I still consider that is so quite frankly. "Free love" was a euphemism for sluttery; and that went for both XX and XY!!!

The indoctrination is done by the CHURCH.
Is the church charging parents hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, only to have their children graduate with no real job opportunities?

And if the church is teaching truth, is it still indoctrination?

The more kids that graduate without being properly prepared for the job market, the more of a scam it really is.

That is how this should be assessed.

Yet amazingly (under Biden at least) we were hovering near what economists were calling "full employment". Your fantasy that they are not prepared or that there are no jobs is nonsense.

Even back in the day it was a scam.....A few of my peers went to college and the only ones that made it through to were it amounted to anything for their future were those who took what is known now as STEM classes.

Odd as most landed where I did by and by.....Working at the local DuPont plant. In fact I helped hire a few of them myself.

Yep. I can't tell you, for example, how many kids I have met who got a degree in say, "criminal justice", who are now back in school for a STEM related class.

Universities have no interest in preparing you for the job market, they just want your money.

Higher Education has turned into a credentials factory.

Criminal Justice works if you want to be a Cop or a Lawyer pretty well. Its the ones that think it leads to "social justice" jobs that have the issue.
