Tonight at sunset begins the festive Jewish holiday Purim. This celebration marks the day as told in the Book of Esther when the Jewish people were allowed to arm themselves. Thanks to the bravery of Esther and her cousin Mordecai this prevented the genocide of all Jews.

Rather fitting reminder in today's political discussions.
