It does exactly what they claim to want- to make the wealthy pay more taxes. But it hits wealthy dems in high-tax blue States, and they don't like that part.

It's a pretty common arrangement actually.

Especially when the wife is the breadwinner or source of income.

In my family I make the money and wifey spends it. I like it that way, I don't have time for mundane things like shopping.

It's great actually, when I get too scruffy she just says "you need a haircut". I don't even have to think about it. She says "go get some new clothes" and I say yes ma'am and next day I look presentable again. Reduces my maintenance overhead to a shower and a few nose hairs.

By lowering everyday prices. When rich business owners are strong-armed to pay more to the government, they raise their prices to compensate. Also, when my taxes are lowered, I have more money to spend. So simple, a simpleton SHOULD be able to understand.

If you promote pure socialism, then live it. Clean up the corruption. Unfortunately, there are favored groups that are corrupted also. And the accusations will come with it.
