And this is what a private citizen could own when the Second Amendment was written and ratified by the states.

And they weren't for hunting deer or target practice at the range.

So, should we be limited to the types of communication that were available at the time to exercise our freedom of speech?

We should limit the federal government's ability to limit them.

That kind of why they called them the Bill of Rights because they described the rights of the people, and limited the federal government's ability to mess with those rights.

Isn't that what the Constitution does?

if you were rich enough and had a ship :)
not sure you are going to take on the US navy though and win

there are airguns that use gas cans to charge them that can toss a 45 slug fast and hard enough to kill an elk

you need to go to a airgun shop to have them filled

600 ft/lbs and 1100 FPS

I'd have to take a pass on that. What fun is shooting without the smoke, smell, recoil, and sound?

well true and the can, carbon fiber is where your shoulder is, it blows there goes your arm

BUT.....no kick, 100% silent, more power than a 300 win mag and likely lightweight

no earmuffs needed

Not only that if you live in MT and have a bad bear in your yard you can shoot it legally, it's not a firearm

Oh......and if you like to kill people.....NO shell, it's just a slug, no powder, they would have a hell of a time
figuring this out and tracing it back to you

downfall, single shot, likely they will make one with a 45 mag for just the slug with a spring

I was only clarifying there are rights the US Constitution forbids the federal government for infringing upon or hindering the free exercise thereof.

You could protect your cargo and your interests against other armed threats, and to the same degree as the navy does.

Where I come from theft is theft, murder is murder.

Amazingly, a detective told me that whether or not someone is facing charges after discharging their firearm and killing an intruder, is most often determined precisely when they talk to an officer, and on how well the shooter articulates their reason for doing so.
