Good!

Now what will the judge do? Will he reduce the award? Or will he let d stand as is?

A jury in North Dakota found Greenpeace liable for $650 million in damages for its role in the protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline. In 2019, Energy Transfer Partners sued the environmental rights organization for orchestrating a large protest against the pipeline's construction, which cost the company hundreds of millions of dollars in property damage and lost revenue.

As the energy company tried to build the massive pipeline, it was met with fierce resistance from the Standing Rock Sioux and other groups, who claimed the pipeline would damage sacred tribal grounds and could endanger the Missouri River, which is their primary source of water.

In 2016 and 2017, thousands of people gathered near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation to protest against the construction. The protesters set up camps and worked to halt the construction. While mostly peaceful, the protesters did commit several acts of vandalism, causing damage to the pipeline. In September 2016, the protesters were involved in a clash with security forces when they tried to stop construction on a sacred site. In late October, armed police used military gear to clear out an encampment blocking the construction site.

Greenpeace Senior Legal Adviser Deepa Padmanabha was asked if the non-profit would appeal the verdict she stated, "We know that this fight is not over."

"That's the really important message today, and we're just walking out and we're going to get together and figure out what our next steps are," Padmanabha added.

I don't know too much about them but I don't remember them being heavy on assets.
It was more like a hippie club and a flower child convention. Where the hell are they going to get hundreds of millions to pay a fine like this?
Not that they don't deserve it probably.
I'm just kind of wondering how something like this plays out? Forced labor maybe?

Oops. I'll have the mods merge my threat under yours.

They have backing with deep pockets (think Soros, DNC, the EU, etc.). Ecoterrorism and shakedowns of governments and corporations are big business on the left.

Greenpeace has loads of cash. They been grifting for decades.

I have an idea since at one time in my life, I was one of the directors of the now called Bay East Board of Realtors. At the time I had warned one of our committees to not select a councilman to be reelected due to his corruption. A Broker brought me evidence of the corruption and I had promised if he proved it I would warn the committee. I also sent the warning through the CEO office and told him it was confidential for the members use only. I was called by a local newspaper asking me about a lawsuit against me. What suit? After told of it, it did later arrive. The board has insurance policies to protect the Directors. That covered my legal fees. I think it also covered in the event the suit was won by the party suing me. I prevailed and the lawyers fees were paid for by the insurance firm.

Mom was a Democrat and Dad supported her yet I am not clear who he voted for. But he told me one day when the Sierra Club formed, his experience many years earlier as a logging firm owner caused him to support them. Then he moved to property where logging was the routine business of those living in his area and said he now no longer supports the Sierra Club once he saw the damage they do.

Green Is the Color of Their Daddies' Money

They'll easily get it from their trust funds.

Our Rulers Don't Want to Hurt Their Sons

Even the French had the guts to blow up one of Greenpeace's ships. We don't.

The French had the guillotine to punish this spoiled and bossy clique. We don't.

The major oil companies don't want an increase in supply. Artificial shortages create windfall profits for them.

Insurance will cover some of it. They have to have it. Insurance, I mean. You have to show what's called "Financial Responsibility" to have any kind of enterprise legally operating in every State I've ever known about. That means, 'Insurance'.

And now, they won't be able to get insurance anymore. Nobody will touch them. Not even Lloyds.

No Insurance, no more 501c(3).
