House GOP leaders are vowing Congress will investigate, but are stopping short of calling for prosecutions, as Trump has, or proposing any tangible consequences for those named in the newly released documents.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) called Gabbard’s disclosures “pretty earth-shattering.”
But Scalise declined to call for arrests or prosecutions.
“Let's not go crazy here," said Scalise. I understand the outrage for these treasonous coup attempts but let's get real here, this is the United States Federal government, what happens here stays here, especially if you are a democrat." Accountability is the last sort of thing we need to focus on at this time. Besides, they already shot me once at a charity baseball game. What do you want, me to arrest them and have my car explode the next time I go to drive it? How would that sit on your conscience, hmm?"
Mike Johnson concurred saying, "I have to agree here. I mean, we don't want to continue to poke the bear, if you know what I mean. It's bad enough I drive a Tesla everyday as I sweat bullets waiting for some crazy Leftist to come try and set my car ablaze. What do you want? Do you want me to be like Justice Kavanaugh or Trump with people coming to their house to assassinate them or waiting for me on a slopped roof somewhere with a rifle? I got a wife and family ya know."
No word yet if the case will be sent to another worthless Congressional committee where they can sling their monkey poo at each other.
