I saw this early today, before the Bundy racist rant, and wasn't gonna give shoots speeders any credence, but given that, here's a thread.
Rand Paul Wants Minorities to Embrace the School Vouchers Rural Republicans Are Rejecting
I thought this a little unfair to Rand Paul. and the Miss gop is proud of it's charter schools legislation. It's true, as the article points out, that many rural whites oppose funneling off money from their public schools for vouchers or charter schools. In Miss, that resulted in a compromise, where public money for charter schools may only be used when the state dept of education has certified a public school as a failure. But, for blacks stuck in an inner city with no educational innovation and little hope, I don't see a reason to oppose "hope and change."
