He was an excellent piece from Glenn Greenwald discussing the ICC court and it’s arrest warrant for President Putin of Russia. And how ineffective the arrest warrant is.



The ICC is not recognized by the major powers of the world, that being China, Russia and United States of America.

The United States military reserves the right to rescue any soldier or officer or government official that the ICC has arrested anywhere in the world. Now that is one hell of a thing right there my friends. But yet you watch CNN even the neoconservatives on Fox News …and they’re all jubilant about this ICC arrest warrant for Putin.

The U.S. does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC

In 2002, it passed the American Soldier Protection Act, authorizing the use of military force to release U.S. or allied nationals detained elsewhere under an ICC warrant.
The U.S. also has bilateral agreements with several countries not to surrender Americans to the International Criminal Court.
Summary:
The law on the use of military force to free Russian citizens should have been passed yesterday.
