Not hardly. The guy's political leanings were mixed. He was a disturbed individual who lacked a coherent political philosophy other than a deep-seated anti-government sentiment. Lots of leftists on here seem to also have a deep-seated anti-government sentiment lately too.

CBS News found that there was evidence to tie Loughner both to the far left and the far right. He gave a "like" to a YouTube video of a burning American flag, he included of the Communist Manifesto on his reading list, and believed in the 9/11 truther movement.

He also grew angry at Giffords after attending one of her campaign events, where he believed that she didn't sufficiently answer a question he had asked. The question was “What is government if words have no meaning?”

The guy was obviously a mental case who had nothing in common with conservatism. Conservatives believe that the US Constitution is the law of the land, and nobody should be wrongfully deprived of their life.
