This goes for not only likeability, but how influential it was, as well as it's staying power over the years.

1. Super Mario Bros. 1
2. Super Mario Bros. 3
3. The Legend of Zelda
4. Metroid
5. Tetris
6. Mega Man 2
7. Mike Tyson's Punch Out
8. Contra
9. Tecmo Bowl
10. Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles 2: The Arcade Game

What do ya think? Any favs I left out? Here's some of my favs that while I loved, couldn't make the list
  • Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
  • Maniac Mansion
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
  • Dragon Warrior
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Ducktales

Yeah, thats a pretty good list. They were cutting edge in the old days, but now they suck. No one plays new Nintendo games. My buddy works for Nintendo, and I always feel bad that he has to play their lame games. Imagine you get to play games for a living, which sounds great, but they are games meant for kids.

Thank you

Depends on who you ask. Lack of graphics produces more focus on gameplay

That’s because there are none. I’m pretty sure the last NES game was made in 1994-95
No, they are always making new games for the Nintendo Switch. There are MANY Zeldas.

I know there's the 2nd quest... but I don't count the later versions. I'm talking about late 80's/early 90's games.
