Just one infrastructure project here. This is probably in 2000 dollars too. Now a billion dollars is some small line item in one of Congress' so called omnibus bills that no one reads, not to be taken seriously. They toss that around like it's something out petty change, let us do our job. You can also imagine the waste, fraud, and kickbacks that come with this. This particular project was funneled through VDOT, with gas and sales, tax here, bonds, and about 150 million fed funds, but this is what 4 billion can do if it's applied here. The same billions that Congress doesn't see as significant and only think in terms of trillions. We can do better.
