Yes, the Keys are the worst, Just heat and hurricanes and sharks. Nothing fun about the Keys, I hated every second I lived there and visited frequently.

St Augustine is just terrible. The panhandle beaches are garbage. Too much sugar sand.

Being from East Texas, I found Islamorada to be quite livable, if I ever win the powerball.

Islamorada is fantastic. Close enough to the mainland that the drive is not too bad but flat out Keys living. Marathon is for true Key rats…but still cool. I lived in Key Largo for a bit. Islamorada has everything.

I mean, uh….the Keys suck. No one should ever go.

My son and I were there for a week at Seabase. When it was over we drove down to Key West and got a pic at the buoy.

Thats great! I often go down and rent a condo and a boat for a week. Usually Key Largo, but sometimes Islamorada. A solid move for people visiting Key West (or any of the Keys) from outside the state is to fly into Miami and drive a convertible down. Beautiful drive.

One of my favorite stops is the DELI/LIQUOR STORE/GYM oceanside in Mararthon. . It always cracks me up. What a combination.
