I say "irregular", because it had to be scheduled because Trey Radel (R) resigned in the cocaine scandal.
In the GOP primary to replace him, Kurt Clawson won:
News from The Associated Press
Clawson, Curt: 38%
Benacquisto, Lizbeth: 26%
Kreegel, Paige: 25%
Dreikorn, Michael: 11%
Margin: Clawson +12%
On the DEM side, there was no primary as April Freeman ran unopposed. Freeman is a former Republican, running as a Democrat in very, very conservative territory.
Curt Clawson's website:

Curt Clawson wins Republican nomination in Florida special election
Florida Special Election Results: Curt Clawson Wins Republican Primary
Huffpo mentions that Clawson financed most all of his campaign all on his own.
He was also heavily backed by the Tea Party.
The special election to fill out Trey Radel's term is on June 24th, in just about 2 months from now.
Prognosis: very, very likely GOP-hold.
